Having recently signed a deal with Duck Down Music US, P-Money makes use of his new label mates with Talib Kweli, Buckshot and Skyzoo all making an appearance on Gratitude. You can also expect to hear from Havoc (of Mobb Deep), Freddie Gibbs, M.O.P., Fashawn, Roc Marciano, Nicole Wray, Jamall Bufford (formerly Buff1), STS, Monsta G, Blaison Maven and Pac Div, as well as revered NZ hip-hop outfit @Peace and soulful songstress Aaradhna.
In the lead up to the May 17 album drop, P-Money released a few of the album’s tracks for free on pmoneymusic.com as a way to show gratitude to his fans – and they certainly showed gratitude in return, clocking up a staggering 65,000 downloads across the globe!
Gratitude is a welcome return to Hip Hop for this true ambassador of NZ Music who co-wrote and produced five of the biggest New Zealand singles of the past decade; “Not Many”, “Stand Up”, & “Stop The Music ft Scribe”, “Keep On Callin ft Akon” and “Everything ft Vince Harder”. The latter of which broke through to UK airwaves on BBC1 and was dubbed Zane Lowe’s Hottest Record in the World. P-Money also recently co-produced Aaradhna's outstanding album ‘Treble & Reverb’ which has taken her to new heights and earned her a deal with Republic Records US and Platinum certification of lead single ‘Wake Up’.
Without doubt, Gratitude is one of the most exciting Hip Hop albums of 2013.
