Full Colour Printed Inner Sleeve With Eno Interview About the Making of the Album
Download Card for Full Album Plus Two Bonus Tracks
30th anniversary reissue of the historic coming together of two icons of music. Having both started their careers as creative forces in seminal bands (Roxy Music and Velvet Underground), they’ve appeared as guest musicians on each other’s records as far back as 1974. They remained friends, and the year prior to Wrong Way Up, Brian Eno produced John Cale’s Words For The Dying album. This paved the way for the pair to write and record an album together, notably the first time Eno had delivered a collection of song-based recordings since Before and After Science in 1977.
It proved to be an inspired collaboration, with the two avant-garde luminaries pushing each other towards more accessible songcraft while still maintaining the bold arrangements and compositional dexterity that each had become so celebrated for.
